Brilliant refurbishing job on an old relic from the 1990s! Fantastic - Went above & beyond to make sure everything was right - yay! Arrived in time and well packed. Great condition and great sound, as described.

Well packed, arrived safely, works great, looks awesome. Dual gate MOS FET tuner backed up by a two-stage Darlington output stage producing 30 WPC at an impressive THD of only 0.04%, Technics' popular SA-202 offered a quality alternative in a smaller package! When you bring the power down to 1/2 the THD drops to a remarkable 0.025%, something seen in only the most expensive receivers of the era!

Remember, these are what audiophiles call "Vintage Watts, " from an era where, unlike today, it was a sin to manipulate or elaborate the power ratings! This classic receiver has two speaker zones and a 1/4 headphone jack on the front panel. The tuning dial is complemented with a Stereo indicator LED & 5-LED Tuning meter. There are switches for Speakers, FM Muting, Tape Monitor and a Loudness switch that contours the sound dynamics perfectly for low level listening.

The rear panel offers an Aux Input, Tape Loop, and a stereo Phono Input along with a grounding post for your turntable! It also has rear-panel access to the protection fuses, and an unswitched AC outlet. It weighs in at just under 16 lbs and measures 11-1/2" x 5-7/8" x 18-1/8 wide! This model is a bit under but considering it's vintage and value, we'll still give it the high-end treatment.

We do offer free pick-up for paid items in the Denver metro area. This beautiful receiver is excellent condition with minor signs of use and nice, clean front panel! Aside from a few small scratches to the veneer, there are several scuffs to the front panel too faint to make out well in the pics with the exception of one just next to the tuning knob. While the specs from the service manual are shown in the pics.

The manual has gone missing, but no worries it can be found online, or we will send you the PDF file directly on request. Please do inspect all the pictures thoroughly for actual condition.

On inspection, this unit worked fine with just a little scratchiness to the knobs and a few lamps out, but they all go to our tech for the usual servicing. Only one lamp was out , but as more are bound to fail we just replace them all with LED's so you won't have to worry about it ever again.

Nstead of the original white lamps with light blue filters, we install t. He highly desired Green LEDs. But, because our receivers have become so popular we were temporarily out of stock, so we installed the Warm White LED's that are designed to replicate the original. We now have a full stock of all colors again so i.

Used LED's for the Signal and Stereo indicators so it's unlikely any will fail any time soon. All vintage receivers receive the following services and much more, all performed by our qualified technician.

Lid is removed & unit is inspected to determine if any attempted amateur repairs exist that need to be corrected, or substandard parts that need replacement. The exterior, all knobs & plexis are cleaned & detailed. While the front panel is removed for cleaning, all attachments are re-glued and dried out foam inserts replaced. All switches & pots are be cleaned internally with Specialist Contact Cleaner (proven superior to DeoxIT by our customers), while those with special needs receive the less aggressive DeoxIT F-5.

All lamps that are out, or believed to be prone to failure, are replaced if necessary. LEDs are used whenever compatible. Any faulty components, or those with known issues, such as jacks, fuse-holders, feet, etc. All PC boards are inspected; all questionable solder joints are re-flowed. All electrolytic caps are inspected for bulging or leakage, those that are at risk or have known issues are checked with the Huntron Tracker (allows evaluation while in-circuit so component does not need to be removed).

All questionable caps are replaced with brand new parts, not NOS! DC offset is adjusted & channel levels are calibrated & balanced.

Front panel is cleaned & detailed before reassembly. Cabinet is cleaned & detailed, those with wood are polished with Old English.

After servicing, we set it up on our test bench and it did not disappoint, both channels drove our speakers with the powerful, warm, distortion-free signal these analog receivers are known for. All inputs and features were confirmed operational and the tuner spins smoothly. Even though we are in a remote area it was able to pull in all our local FM stations with the included wire antenna, centering the tuning meter and lighting the Stereo lamp. What a great find for the vintage audiophile!
